We booked our final pre-departure flight today from El Calafate to Ushuaia for Feb. 3rd. We spent some time studying the route and busing 18 hours through several criss-crossed border checkpoints didn't sound like much fun, so we opted for the not-so-pricey direct flight to avoid the hassle. For safety, we booked it the day after our bus is set to arrive in El Calafate from Torres Del Paine. Three days in Ushuaia should be well enough we assume. Our main goal there is to do a little hiking in Tierra Del Fuego National Park.
The last two days at work are going to be interesting. I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to everyone I have grown to know over the past four years.
After that is all said and done, we have a very very very busy weekend to finish up all of our affairs. I am hoping I remember everything and that we depart with ease in our minds so we can enjoy our time away.
Bring on the 80 plus degree weather...
