Post 15: Goal...the possibilities! by G

Fellow travelers...

The previous week was a good one. We went camping in New Jersey, which I fear will be one of only a few chances I get to leave the city before our departure in November. It was good to get away and clear my mind a little. June is sure to be a busy month and the distraction will be endless.

Our itinerary is pretty much complete (more about that soon!) and we at minimum have an assessment of which major population centers we will be passing through. With that in mind I looked at the chances of seeing some of the major football clubs of Sudamerica. The following is what I came up with:

Post 14: still going - by G

Fellow adventurers,

Just a quick check-in. Things have been good, and our fortunes are looking up. I have filled a vacancy at my house and soon hope to fill the other by months end, that will mean more financial security on my end. Money has stayed steady through a few hiccups, and I am trying harder to beat my goal of $7,500 each for safety sake. Anything can happen and I want to minimize my chances of misfortune.

The heart of  the warmer months is soon upon us, and the days seem to be flying by. I am feeling pretty content that all will work out and we will be on our way to Caracas come November 12th. 179 days to go!

$4,600 of $16,000 (over budget)

Post 13: Step One Complete by G

Dear fellow adventurers,

Its May first and yesterday we completed the first of many steps in making this whole thing a reality. We stood 2 hours in line while only 3 people were "served". Its hard to imagine why it took so long, but regardless we resisted the urge to escape the bureaucratic mess that is the post office. We should expect our RFID embossed (*vomit*) passports in the mail sometime in mid June. At that point, I will be storing them somewhere safe and secure, as to not chance losing them again before November comes around.

We are making progress, and our goal for May should be to have a completed itinerary so we can start planning the logistics of our cross-continental travels. Our plans thusfar has only been established through to Chile.

I am working on securing my housing situation, and come July 1st everything should be figured out. August 1st we will be making our first airplane reservations from Philadelphia to Florida, and hopefully Miami to Caracas.

Thats all for now, hopefully soon I have an entire itinerary to report, this will certainly only help to reinforce our will to accomplish this giant goal.

$4,500 of $15,000 saved (after passport cost, etc.)
193ish days to go!
