Post 13: Step One Complete by G

Dear fellow adventurers,

Its May first and yesterday we completed the first of many steps in making this whole thing a reality. We stood 2 hours in line while only 3 people were "served". Its hard to imagine why it took so long, but regardless we resisted the urge to escape the bureaucratic mess that is the post office. We should expect our RFID embossed (*vomit*) passports in the mail sometime in mid June. At that point, I will be storing them somewhere safe and secure, as to not chance losing them again before November comes around.

We are making progress, and our goal for May should be to have a completed itinerary so we can start planning the logistics of our cross-continental travels. Our plans thusfar has only been established through to Chile.

I am working on securing my housing situation, and come July 1st everything should be figured out. August 1st we will be making our first airplane reservations from Philadelphia to Florida, and hopefully Miami to Caracas.

Thats all for now, hopefully soon I have an entire itinerary to report, this will certainly only help to reinforce our will to accomplish this giant goal.

$4,500 of $15,000 saved (after passport cost, etc.)
193ish days to go!

G
